Role of IT
The Paychex Information Technology organization provides the technology
foundation that supports the company and its Sales and Operations
functions. Paychex product offerings are largely based on information -
capturing, calculating, reporting, packaging and electronically
exchanging information - hence, the IT department designs, develops and
tests most of the software needed to support these products. IT also

manages all systems and networks that support the company's processing.
In addition, the IT organization monitors and tunes system performance
and capacity, manages security, and handles problems and incidents that
are received by our service desks. The Information Technology group
consists of over 800 employees, mostly based in Rochester, NY. Paychex,
